This year a delegation of music-industry professionals is travelling to New York for the first time under the aegis of the Reeperbahn Festival to take part in the American Association of Independent Music (A2IM) Indie Week. Kindly supported by the German Foreign Office, this partnership with A2IM aims to establish new business contacts in the North American market and strengthen existing cooperative relationships so that, working together, a future-oriented transatlantic network can be built.

A2IM Indie Week, an industry event open only to members of A2IM, offers delegates a tailor-made programme, including one-on-one meetings, where delegates can develop the precise American music industry contacts they need – whether it’s with distributors, label services, digital suppliers, publishers, marketing partners, or others – as well as panels and workshops, where they can gain greater familiarity with the specifics of the US market. As part of this partnership with A2IM, the Reeperbahn Festival is hosting a showcase, partnered with The Village Voice, on 15 June at Santos Party House.

The showcase will feature the following international talents: Israeli rapper, electropop artist, and producer Adi Ulmansky; Swedish hip-hop artist and label owner Rebstar; German post-psychedelic pop band Fenster; Berlin-based artist and piano-dance music producer Moonboy Inc.; Leipzig-based, Motown-meets-the-spirit-of-the-Beatles, electro-pop-noir sensation Malky; Canadian rap band Grand Analog; and shining star of German guitar music, with his roots in blues and soul, Jesper Munk. All are seeking access in different sectors of the US market. For more information on these artists please visit our website.

All media representatives, professional visitors, and delegates taking part in A2IM Indie Week are invited to the showcase and can sign up to attend via Eventbrite (code RBFNYC).

Our media partner The Village Voice will also be giving away a number of tickets to fans and others interested in attending who are not part of Indie Week.
