Bild1

Dear media representatives, dear colleagues,
What would the Reeperbahn Festival be without its numerous partners and supporters? We are pleased to name our long-time partners Warner Music, NDR, Elbphilharmonie & Laeiszhalle Hamburg and the Haspa Music Foundation which will also be part of the 11th Reeperbahn Festival with programmes of their own.

Hamburg, 7 September 2016
11 years of Reeperbahn Festival – 11 times Warner Music Night! On Friday, 23 Sept., the Warner Music Night will take place at the Docks, as usual with a top-notch programme. The trio VAN HOLZEN  will give rise to something new, composed of rock, metal and German song lyrics; the Norwegian producer Peder Losnegård a.k.a. Lido is currently one of the hottest names in the electronic music scene, and the Cologne-based songwriter Maxim is back from his completely sold-out club tour with his new album "Das bisschen was wir sind" (The little that we are). Traditionally, there will be a VERY SPECIAL GUEST who will be announced at a later date.

Further Warner Music acts at the Reeperbahn Festival are: THE HUNNA, Klangstof, GROUPLOVE, Buslav, Sturgill Simpson, Jamie Lawson, Lina Maly, Zak Abel, Anne-Marie, The Head and the Heart, Max Frost, Hyphen Hyphen

The Norddeutsche Rundfunk - Northern German Broadcasting Service - has also been part of the festival right from the start and has accompanied the Reeperbahn Festival with its radio channels NDR 2, N-JOY, NDR Info, NDR Kultur and NDR Blue as well as NDR-Fernsehen (NDR Television) and NDR.de.
This year, NDR-Fernsehen will film 19 concerts on four days. 68 Reeperbahn Festival concerts will be recorded for the NDR broadcast channels. The NDR 2 and N-JOY channels will invite their listeners to the Docks on two evenings: On Thursday, 22 Sept., NDR 2 will present the British singer songwriter Jamie Lawson and the French pop singers JAIN and Louane while N-JOY will stage the British soul sensation JONES, the electronic pop artist James Hersey, the dashing US folk band The Head and the Heart and the Irish rock quintet Walking On Cars  on Saturday, 24 Sept.
The N-JOY Reeperbus on Spielbudenplatz has become a fixed part of the four festival days. NDR Info will host two nights at the Knust and will convert the Alte Liebe location into a live-on-air radio broadcast studio together with NDR Blue Backstage on every festival day: The radio presenters Ruben Jonas Schnell, Siri Keil and Jan Möller will discuss current trends, the digital future of the music world and, of course, the best concerts at the Reeperbahn Festival, the ones that mustn't be missed! NDR Kultur will present the new classics showcases at Resonanzraum on two festival evenings.
Landmark meets landmark: Before the Elbphilharmonie is opened in January 2017, Elbphilharmonie & Laeiszhalle Hamburg will present the programme at Hamburg's most popular landmark, St. Michaelis Church, also called "Michel": With Sophia, the band which backs Robin Propper-Shepard, and the Irish band Villagers, two particularly expressive artists of the genre "songwriter", can be experienced.

The Krach + Getöse (Noise + Racket) Award presented by Haspa Music Foundation and RockCity Hamburg e.V. has been providing active, good and important support for Hamburg bands and musicians for eight years. At the "Nordlichter Abend" (Northern Lights Night) hosted by the Haspa branch on the Reeperbahn, the indie-rock trio Consolers, the songwriter Frieder Hepting and the bustling garage rockers Sick Hyenas, three of this year's award winners, will be performing on Saturday, 24 Sept.

Let's drink to it with a bottle of Astra beer - naturally only the Reeperbahn Festival Edition!
