Reeperbahn Festival Socials

Dear media representatives, dear colleagues,
For some people the Reeperbahn Festival with its roughly 500 concerts at over 70 venues is the ideal opportunity every year to get an overview of the most exciting bands and artists from all over the world. For others the Reeperbahn Festival as one of the biggest international meetings of the music business is a fixed item on their annual professional agenda. The good thing about it: Both are right, one serves the other. On the Training Day the two worlds will merge perfectly: in the course of various events, music professionals will convey expert insights into many aspects of the music business to interested festival guests. All visitors need to participate is a valid Reeperbahn Festival wristband.

Every year the international music sector gathers during the Reeperbahn Festival to exchange ideas on current challenges of the music business. During Training Day on the festival Saturday all guests of the Reeperbahn Festival will have the opportunity to breathe the atmosphere of the music world. With their valid festival ticket they can gain insights into or deepen their knowledge of the current music business at about 25 workshops, coaching sessions and speeches. Moreover, there will be the possibility to obtain information on further educational channels. The Training Day is aimed at all musicians, DJs, songwriters, producers, music journalists, bloggers, music video directors, etc. among the Reeperbahn Festival guests who are looking for access to the music business, or who already have a professional career and want to further qualify and improve.

Experts from the sectors live entertainment, recorded music, publishing, marketing and technology will convey realistic and practical insights into their international music business work, also to newcomers.

Gordon Raphael (US), producer of The Strokes, for example, will report on his work with this globally successful formation in his discourse “Producing The Strokes or: How I accidentally became the producer of a multi platinum selling album”. The Training Day also includes crisp short guidelines on conceptualising and implementing events, an intensive course regarding event law or a speech by a blogger on the changing relationships between artists, PR and the media – and a lot more.
