Networking Events Completed!

We are delighted to welcome around 70 partners inviting you to meet and network with international representatives from the music industry and the digital creative economy. As every year, the receptions, parties, informal get-together, dinners, and cocktail events hosted by our partners are held in a number of nearby Reeperbahn venues. Add some of them to your favourites schedule! Browse all networkings here on our website.

Why Europe?

It is becoming increasingly important that the cultural sector also clearly supports the European idea. In a series of sessions we are dedicated to answering the question "Why Europe?“. At Vote for Europe Christian Ehler (European Parliament, DE), Christof Huber (Yourope, CH), Elise Phamgia (Liveurope, BE), Holger Jan Schmidt (Take A Stand, DE), and Codruta Vulcu (ARTmania, RO, photo) speak about the meaning of pop culture and economy for a modern, for a democratic Europe.

Visions Of Africa

Africa is moving more and more into the focus of the music industry. But is it mainly about tapping new customer groups for an existing repertoire or is it really a business at eye level? The discussion Visions of Africa with Joe Chialo (Universal Music Central Europe & Africa, DE, photo), Colin Gayle (Africa Creative Agency, ZA), and Donald Otoyo (Permanent Presidential Music Commission, KE) will focus on the question of what mutual expectations and interests exist with a view to greater market cooperation.

Copyright In Harmony (?)

Shortly before Reeperbahn Festival, the European Parliament will again vote on the unification of European copyright legislation. In the international session Copyright in Harmony (?) we discuss the result with supporters and sceptics of the draft tabled in Parliament. On stage are Annabella Coldrick (Music Managers Forum - MMF, GB), Claudia Schwarz (MusicTech Germany, DE, photo), and Jean-Noël Tronc (SACEM, FR).

Electronic Music Festivals At A Crossroads?

In recent years, the boom of electronic music festivals has reached new heights. In the expert panel Electronic Music Festivals At A Crossroads? with representatives of the most important electronic music events in Germany, the question is how the market is developing and what kind of future these festivals have.
Speakers include Bernd Dicks (Parookaville, DE), Allan Hardenberg (ALDA, DE), Nikki McNeill (Global Publicity, GB, photo), Max Riedel (Holi Concept, DE), and Oliver Vondemvenne (I-Motion, DE).
