During the two day programme "Music Matches”, the accompanying representatives of German music businesses entered into dialog with their American counterparts to exchange their ideas about the challenges of the future. Other parts of the Reeperbahn Festival programme were the Klaus Voormann exhibition and an international showcase night. The Sequencer Tour was concluded in LA by a conference day at the Navel organized by re:publica on the topics "Leisure and Lifestyle" and "Politics & Society“. Read more about The Sequencer Tour here.

Reeperbahn Festival Signs "Hamburger Erklärung Der Vielen"

Reeperbahn Festival and its numerous activities abroad stand for the dialogue between nationalities and different cultural groups. The connections resulting from this clearly show how important independent cultural work is in an international context. Every political attempt to influence culture, the cultural and media sectors leads to the decimation of cultural wealth, weakens the basic democratic order and is therefore unacceptable. It is for this very reason that Reeperbahn Festival considers the initiative “Hamburg Declaration of the Many” as an important movement that is necessary in these times. Find out more here.
