Starting on Wednesday, Hamburg will be the centre of the international music world again. We are looking forward to spending four eventful days with you!
Apart from photos, we will provide you once more with our own up-to-date video material from Reeperbahn Festival on a daily basis:

PRESS ACCREDITATION

The Press Desk will be located in the Festival Village on Heiligengeistfeld near the entrance to underground station St. Pauli. Accreditation is personalised and not transferable. Please have your personal ID card ready.

HIGHLIGHTS AND PRESS EVENTS 2019
World premiere: Ólafur Arnalds "Ekki Hugsa 360°": An audio-visual overall experience, arranged around Ólafur Arnalds’ latest publication "re:member", which will be presented in four new versions plus a video installation.
NOTE: The artist and his video director will be present and host the show, but they will not perform live.

▪    Playgrounds at Festival Village: Music Makers Playground,
Arts Playground and Future Playground - Hotspots for music, arts and social utopias on sustainability, gender equality and more. 
Music Makers Playground: incl. exhibitions by well-known music companies and instrument manufacturers such as Yamaha, Allen Heath, Shure, D´Addario, Klotz Cables, K&M, Audio Technica, Instrument of things, Happy Ears Earplugs, CMS Pedalboards, Gold Super & Thomas Blug Amplifiers.

Arts Playground: incl. A Symphony of Noise - Inspired by Matthew Herbert: The installation, inspired by the musician and producer Matthew Herbert, turns virtual reality into an interactive sound experience and will be presented for the first time at Reeperbahn Festival 2019.

▪    DOORS OPEN Show: The opening ceremony with its international live performances, the presentation of the 2019 ANCHOR jury and the nominees as well as contributions on Keychange and this year's country partner Australia comprises all major characteristics of Reeperbahn Festival 2019. ARTE Concert will accompany the opening ceremony as media partner.

▪   Neon Nashville: Country Music Special. Reception & Showcase presented by Country Music Association. Hardly any other genre is currently undergoing such a rejuvenation process as country music: Not enough that hip-hop artists are discovering the genre for themselves, landing world hits – hardly any other music style is so strongly dominated by female artists!

▪   Wunderkinder – German Music Talent: The Reeperbahn Festival music export programme is going into the seventh round, providing German artists on their way to making a career with the right international contacts. The twelve acts in 2019: Amilli, Catnapp, ELI, Gato Preto, Gianni Mae, Jules Ahoi, Leoniden, Lisa Morgenstern, Lissa, Malik Harris, Moli, Sofia Portanet.

Image and sound recordings may only be made after consultation with us. Audio and video recordings are only permitted for the purpose of reporting. For further recordings and/or other purposes, authorisation of the rights holders (artists, management) and the event organizer (Reeperbahn Festival GbR) is required. Access to the locations might be limited for technical or production reasons. 
Due to the strongly limited number of seats, no photographers or TV teams may be permitted to Grand Hall at Elbphilharmonie. Image material owned by Reeperbahn Festival can be retrieved in good time at our press area.

The Reeperbahn Festival Lounge in the entrance foyer of ARCOTEL Onyx Hamburg (Reeperbahn 1), the official partner hotel of Reeperbahn Festival, is always open and will be the central meeting point for all professional visitors. In the lounge, there is a free cloakroom, free WLAN, power supply and free public PCs.
