dear media partners, dear colleagues,

Our Next Generation Programme is specifically targeted at young adults who are interested in entering the music business. On Saturday, 19 September, we will offer practice-oriented insights into music and culture management in cooperation with TINCON and TONALI on our streaming platform.
The Festival Village will also show its many facets: This is where this year you will find not only the Future Playground Interactive Exhibition, the Future Dome as the venue for exciting discussions, and the instrument exhibition Music Makers Playground but also two concert playgrounds: The open-air Fritz Bühne and the Festival Village Stage will provide for a thrilling live programme at the Festival Village.
In addition, we will present the eighth Wunderkinder – German Music Talent edition which helps German bands and artists on their road to an international career.

Next Generation Programme

Committed newcomers with new ideas are indispensable for sustainability of the music business. That is why our Next Generation Programme will offer a comprehensive and practice-oriented programme providing business newcomers, young starters, young artists and everyone interested in the music industry with targeted insights into the music biz. Apart from the Music Business Summer School, initiated in collaboration with the Interessensgemeinschaft Hamburger Musikwirtschaft (IHM / Hamburg Music Business Association), taking care of further qualification of young music professionals, our cooperation with TINCON, the festival for digital youth culture, as well as the culture project TONALI will enter the second round this year. The programme Training Day can be experienced live on our streaming platform on 19 September. There will be: journalists such as  Aimen Abdulaziz-Said or Salwa Houmsi, diverse beat-makers, sector experts such as Stefan Thanscheidt or Kyra Freise, and organisations such as Fridays For Future, Rockcity as well as the Berlin Music Commission.

Future Playground, Future Dome, Music Makers Playground, open-air stages at Festival Village

The Festival Village is the first contact point for all visitors. Here you will find the containers for wristband exchange, the Press Desk for all media representatives as well as the bag storage space. Conceived as a feel-good location away from the hustle and bustle, the Festival Village with its cosy seating arrangements, generous turf spaces and light chains will invite you to relax and chill out. A selected offer of food trucks and (non-alcohol) bars will take care of everything you need to plan the rest of the evening or to enjoy numerous arts, presentation and discussion offers.

At the Future Playground, interactive installations will invite reflection and show socio-cultural future visions. This year, a special module will be presented by Die Fantastischen Vier on the occasion of their 30th band anniversary: Fantaventura, their first virtual reality experience, taking visitors on a journey through the past and present of their band cosmos.

Two sessions dealing with future-oriented themes such as populism, discrimination or mental health will take place at the Future Dome. Moreover, exciting formats such as the Diskuthek by Stern magazine, a discussion of the taz and BILD chief editors Peter Unfried and Paul Ronzheimer on the errors of the media world, exclusive interviews, for example, with the intellectual Douglas Rushkoff or the author and activist Kübra Gümüşay will be recorded live with visitors of the Festival Village as live guests. We will offer programme excerpts on our public Reeperbahn Festival streaming platform.
Here you will find the complete live programme of the Future Dome.

At the Music Makers Playground, visitors and artists can admire and try out instruments. Manufacturers such as D'Angelico, Klotz Kabel, Boston Pianos, GRETSCH & CHARVEL, CMS Effekte, Kawai Pianos, D'Addario, Blugamp and Gold Super Valve Amps will exhibit their latest products. Moreover, No. 1 Guitar Center will present its "GIBSON - Les Paul" exhibition, showing historical exhibits by the guitar maker, supplemented by the "Dead Rock Heads" photo exhibition by Ole Ohlendorff. Jimi Hendrix will have a very special place at the Music Makers Playground; he will be honoured in the course of the music instrument exhibition on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of his death.

This year, the Festival Village concert programme will take place on two stages: Thrilling newcomers will show their talents on Fritz Bühne while, right next to it, the Festival Village Stage will be the venue with the greatest capacity (850 visitors) of this year's Reeperbahn Festival, featuring Akua Naru (DEU, USA), Die Sterne (DEU), Drangsal (DEU) and many more.
